Marcel's Way Gift Voucher Program at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center
Marcel's Way had an idea to start a voucher program for metabolic patients at DHMC. We wanted to make a hospital stay or even an outpatient visit a little more comfortable for the family. (Most of us at MW have stayed overnight with one of our children and know what it can be like.) The program is now up and running, available to all the families at Marcel's Way! We will be providing $5 vouchers for food or merchandise at Cravin's Country Market and Deli during a hospital stay or an outpatient appointment day.
So how does this program work? When you have an outpatient appointment at the pediatric neurology department at DHMC, just ask Meredith McClelland, Clinical secretary in pediatric neurology or your attending medical provider (most likely Dr. Filiano or Alice Mello) for a Marcel's Way Gift Voucher. If you will be staying in the hospital overnight, Katie Arneson, Child Life Specialist Pediatric and Adolescent Unit will be the contact person on the pediatric floor. Just ask Katie for a voucher. Your $5 voucher is good for food or merchandise at the newly renovated Cravin's Country Market and Deli in the food court area.
A patient who is admitted to DHMC or has an outpatient appointment connected with a metabolic issue or Mitochondrial Disorder issue qualifies for the voucher.
